On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century, by Timothy Snyder (Pb $4.99, Kndl $3.99) 128 pp

I put this in because it’s a short book, and because I just found a series of very interesting videos by the author.  The first of four is at this link.  Highly recommended by me. — rls

Today, our political order faces new threats, not unlike the totalitarianism of the twentieth century. We are no wiser than the Europeans who saw democracy yield to fascism, Nazism, or communism.  Our one advantage is that we might learn from their experience.
